Alltec Composite Materials receives Nadcap accreditation for the painting process of aeronautical parts
Nadcap Nadcap is the main international program for risk mitigation and quality warantee in the supply chain.
Alltec, a leading manufacturer of composite materials, has obtained the Nadcap (National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program) accreditation for the chemical process of painting composite-material aeronautical parts. The international audit performed by PRI (Performance Review Institute) has evaluated all phases of the painting process in accordance to Embraer Rules and Nadcap Criteria requirements, and no instances of non-compliance were found.
Nadcap is the main international cooperation program between the major OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) in the sector for establishing the specifications of special processes and products for manufacturing and tests as a mean for mitigating risks and ensuring quality in the supply chain.
In the painting segment, equipment and devices were evaluated, such as: the painting booth, preparation areas for part surface, paint preparation and application, curing oven and test equipment. Moreover, the work procedures and methods were also evaluated, as well as the team’s qualifications, the paints and other chemicals used in the process, and the internal and environmental controls.
Following this accreditation, Alltec is working to obtain the Nadcap accreditation for other production processes such as the manufacturing of composite parts, non-destructive ultrasound test, sealing and test laboratory.
